Committed to Transparency, Accountability, and Collaboration.
At SubOptic, governance is the foundation of our success. Our comprehensive governance framework ensures that we remain true to our mission of advancing the submarine cable ecosystem through collaboration, education, and innovation.

Policies and Ethical Standards
The SubOptic Association is governed by an elected Executive Committee (EC) that shapes its direction and oversees activities. Working closely with members and partners, the EC drives the advancement of the submarine cable ecosystem.
- Member-elected Executive Committee ensuring fair representation
- Strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Capacity Media, Telegeography, ICPC, and PTC
- Formal MOUs with organizations like ICPC to advance shared objectives
- Active Working Groups focused on innovation and industry challenges

The Foundation operates through dual branches in the US and UK, serving donors worldwide:
- US Branch: Holds 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, offering tax benefits for US donors
- UK Branch: Currently pursuing charitable status for European operations
Both branches maintain independent Boards of Trustees while collaborating toward shared goals in submarine cable education, research, and philanthropy. The Foundation upholds strict ethical standards and transparency across all operations.
